Ornate RARE ANTIQUE ITALIAN Wine Oil Cask Toppers, Unique Vintage Decor - Set of 8
How do I explain how amazing these are?! Found at a small flea market in Tuscany on a family trip, they are LARGE ANTIQUE ITALIAN WINE/OIL CASK TOPPERS. These once decorated the tops of very large bottles of wine or oil in Italy back in 1913. Almost 6 inches tall, they are made of thick and sturdy cardboard material with metal rings on the tops and sides. The graphics are absolutely stunning! Bright, colorful, with fabulous lettering. Has almost an old circus vibe to them. Never seen anything like them before, and likely won't again.
Very unique home decor that could be the start of an interesting architectural project - would look great strung together and outfitted with lights! Would also make an eye-catching display in an Italian restaurant or wine cellar.
Set includes 8 pieces. In lovely "aged antique" condition - some discoloration, scuffs, minor dents - one has a small tear. All adding to the charm!
