Vintage DEER PLANTER Pottery, Art Deco 1940s, Country Garden Decor - Free Shipping!
Absolutely stunning VINTAGE CERAMIC DEER in an art deco style. Gorgeous brown and green tones in the glazed paint. The deer is prancing and leaping over stylized grass at the base. Large size that commands the eye - a showstopper. Two small planter sections, one on each side. This would make a wonderful holder for matches, pencils, make-up brushes, or anything else!
In excellent vintage condition (no chips or cracks, color in great shape, some minor discoloration to the interior of planter). No maker marks, from the style and color, likely California pottery from the 1940's. Wonderful addition to a ceramic collection, or as kitschy decor in a retro style home. The crinkly French ribbon around his neck is not attached, just decoration.
